Xiaomi Mi 5X Can "Conjured" So Android One, How To?

You have a Xiaomi Mi 5X smartphone but want to experience the pure Android look ala Android One? You do not need to replace the Mi A1 smartphone. Simply this way!

In a  thread on the MIUI Forum, the "heli0us" user shared his trick to turn Mi 5X into Android One. He memporting Android One ROM in Mi A1 to be used in Mi 5X.

To install Android One ROM that has been ported, the user is required to open or unlock the bootloader of the Mi 5X smartphone. 

Once installed, the smartphone will be written as Mi A1 on the smartphone model in the About Phone in Settings. In addition, the security patch level that is on the smartphone is August 1, 2017.

The developer said that the ROM is stable and existing features can be used properly. But the consequences if you use this ROM, your smartphone also does not get the latest version of Android update through Over-the-Air.

Mi A1 itself is a smartphone that is a rebranding of Xiaomi Mi 5X. In Mi A1, the specifications it has is the same as the Mi 5X, only this smartphone is not equipped with a typical display Xiaomi, MIUI.

Xiaomi Mi A1 uses Android OS 7.1 Nougat and because without MIUI, then it looks pure Android like Google Pixel smartphone.
